The GG Public Pledge

GG belongs to gaming culture. We did not invent it. We will not hoard it.

Our commitment:

Gamer's Guild will not pursue, threaten, or initiate legal action against any person or organization for using "GG" in their own name, product, content, stream, community, merchandise, or service.

We reserve the right to use GG as the name of our platform and as our logo mark. We do not claim exclusive rights to the letters. We claim only the right to be called Gamer's Guild.

This pledge is permanent and public. It will not be revoked, sold, or transferred. If the company is ever acquired, this pledge survives as a contractual obligation of the acquiring entity.

Why we do this:

Because trust is the product. Because we are not a corporation that steals language from the culture that made it. Because "GG" is a handshake, not a trademark. And because the gaming community deserves to know that some things are still shared.
